TDP paints city yellow

Not only the venue but also various parts of the city were painted yellow with party flags and festoons. As usual, the BJP and the YSRCP remained the target of attack by the TDP leaders. Large LED screens erected at the venue helped the TDP members and supporters view the proceedings clearly. The GVMC deployed a large number of sanitary workers to clear the garbage promptly. All roads in the city led to the sprawling Andhra University College of Engineering grounds hours before the commencement of the programme addressed by party leaders, including Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Drinking water was supplied free of cost by opening kiosks by the organisers.The police came under praise for the orderly conduct of the programme, which attracted bus-load of yellow brigade from across the State. Contrary to the expectation, adequate parking arrangement was made on the AU campus, and buses were allowed to park on both sides of the highway, causing no traffic snarl. The GVMC deployed a large number of sanitary workers to clear the garbage promptly. As usual, the BJP and the YSRCP remained the target of attack by the TDP leaders. One after another alleged that they had to align with the BJP in the “State’s interests” knowing very well that they would lose politically, and exuded confidence that with the severing of ties with the BJP they would win more number of seats.
