As many as 983 dengue cases were reported in 2017. Municipal Commissioner M. Hari Narayanan, who held a meeting on vector-borne diseases with Municipal and Medical and Health officials on Friday, said every day fogging would be taken up between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. by the 300 malaria workers.A continuous campaign would be carried out from June 16 to November. Video awareness programmes would be organised at municipal schools and 26 teams would campaign in the city, Mr. Hari Narayanan said.
