Isolated rain, thundershowers likely today

Heavy rain occurred at isolated places in West Godavari and Krishna districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh. The IMD has predicted isolated heavy rain in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur districts of coastal AP till Monday morning. Thereafter, light to moderate rain or thundershowers is very likely to occur at many places over coastal AP and at a few places over Rayalaseema during the rest of the day. Fishermen cautioned The Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC) here has cautioned fishermen of strong surface winds from westerly direction, with speed reaching up to 50 to 55 km per hour over the westcentral Bay of Bengal and along and off south coastal AP during the next 24 hours, commencing at 6 p.m. on Sunday. The CWC has warned fishermen of Andhra Pradesh against venturing into the sea on Monday as the sea would remain very rough.
