Private security agencies oppose GST

Association of Private Security Agencies (APSA) president and Central Association of Private Security Industry (CAPSI) State chairman C. Bhaskar Reddy along with a delegation of private security professionals submitted a representation to the GST authorities over payment of GST on Wednesday. He said they had submitted the representation to the Chief Commissioner Customs and GST, Visakhapatnam Zone to protest against the GST rates and the procedures for payment by the security agencies. The meeting held in the city was part of a nationwide protest march being undertaken in all the States by about 22,000 security agencies with a manpower deployment of over 70 lakh of security guards. Mr. Reddy said their demand was to not insist on payment of GST at the time of billing from them. Like TDS, it should be recovered at the time of raising the bill by them, he stated.
