APEPDCL CMD H.Y. Dora, who was the chief guest, gave away trophies to winners and runners of the VDCA League for clubs and institutions held in May. D.S. Varma, vice-president of VDCA, presided. VDCA general secretary K. Parthasaradhi lauded the outstanding achievements of K.Nitish Kumar Reddy, who was awarded the Best Player of the Country in the Under-16 category by BCCI, and also V. Pushpalata and M. Durga who represented Andhra in under-19 category. He hoped that these players would represent India in future. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Dora stressed on the importance of fitness and playing the game in true spirit and commitment to reach higher levels and play for the country. He congratulated the winners and runners. Prizes were also given away to best individual performers in their respective divisions on the occasion. VDCA office-bearers D Sanjeev, S. Ravi Shankar, AP Naidu and GT Prasad were present. S.S.R.K. Prasad proposed a vote of thanks.
