Visakhapatnam: Heavy to extremely heavy falls are likely to occur over north coastal Andhra Pradesh districts on Tuesday. Situations are also dangerous in the Komarada and Garugubilli mandals, people are being evacuated from low lying areas, he said.Regarding the flooding of low lying areas in Vizianagaram town, the collector observed that the entire low lying area beyond the Pedda Cheruvu was flooded. Jawaharlal urged municipal authorities to identify low-lying areas n the district and take up evacuation work if necessary. Collector M Hari Jawaharlal conducted a special meet at the Vizianagaram collectorate over the issue on Moday.A special control room has been set up at the district headquarters (08922-2369475) to monitor the situation.He said Nagavali river is in spate and there is a danger of flood at Parvathipuram division.
