Several areas across the State received rainfall on Tuesday. In the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday, Mentada in Vizianagaram district recorded 6 cm of rainfall, the highest in the State. A low pressure area has formed over East Central Bay of Bengal and it is likely to concentrate into a depression and move towards North Andhra-South Odisha coasts and cross the coast by September 20, weathermen have said. The southwest monsoon has been active over Rayalaseema and normal over coastal Andhra Pradesh. In Rayalaseema, Dharmavaram, Kambadur and Anantpur received a rainfall of 6 cm each.
