| Friday | 12th October, 2018
The recruitment of professors, associate professors and assistant professors (backlog posts) in Andhra University is delayed, with a few aspirants of assistant professor (backlog) posts moving the Hyderabad High Court, alleging discrepancies in the process.
The Andhra University authorities had short-listed 580 candidates for a total 59 posts including that of 19 professors, 25 associate professors and 15 assistant professor (backlog).
However, the results are yet to be announced owing to the legal tangle.
The recruitment proceedings began about a month ago and the selection process including interviews have been completed.
It is learnt that some aspirants with 10 years of experience did not fulfil the ‘scale’ criterion.
