Officials to highlight A.P. power sector initiatives in Delhi

The power utilities have taken up strengthening of sub-transmission and distribution networks and IT-enabled distribution under the IPDS. It was stated that network strengthening was taken up at a total cost of ?1610 crore in A.P. Principal secretary (energy) Ajay Jain has received an invitation from the Union Ministry of Power to present the success stories, according to an official release. Officials of the Energy Department of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.) delegation will highlight the doubling of installation capacity from 9000 MW in 2014 to 18000 MW in 2018, underground cabling works in Visakhapatnam, the slew of solar power plants being established in Rayalaseema and a host of other projects.
