While mandals like Icchapuram, P Narayana, Paritala Sunita, Kaviti, Palasa, Tekkali, Sompeta, Vajrapu Kotturu and Meliaputti have been badly affected by cyclone , most ministers are apparently camping in Uddanam, where Titli made landfall, but did not touch the other mandals which also faced similar devastation. One V Govinda Rao from Battili in Bhamini mandal said there was no power in his village till Monday. “I came to know through newspapers that ministers, including the chief minister, camped in the Uddanam area comprising Palasa and surrounding mandals. They did not consider Bhamini as a cyclone-affected mandal, it seems,” Rao said.Official sources said Naidu is likely to return to the affected areas in the next one-two days to take stock of the situation.Meanwhile, rain or thunderstorms are likely to occur at a few places in north coastal AP on Tuesday, which may dampen the ongoing relief and restoration work in affected areas. Some villages in Laveru mandal received 57mm rainfall on Monday. Many areas in Visakhapatnam district and some places in the city too received rains in the afternoon.
