Guntur: Stating that AP chief minister Chandrababu Naidu walked out of the NDA after falling in the trap laid by the Congress, Union home minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said no party that got trapped in Congress’ web has survived in history.Addressing a public meeting in the city, Rajnath said Naidu’s decision to part ways with the NDA government was motivated by political interests. He termed his decision to be meaningless. He criticised Naidu for launching a misleading campaign against the Centre in spite of flooding of central funds to the state. He further added that the AP CM had grossly failed to make use of the funds released by the Centre.“Slogan shouting about special category status (SCS) will not help the state. You first focus on making use of the funds granted by the Centre,” Rajnath suggested. He said the Centre could not grant the SCS due to the restrictions imposed by the 14th Finance Commission, and added that the Centre, however, treated AP as a special state and extended support for every possible scheme.He listed out the various projects and schemes granted to the state by the Centre.
