A man attacked his wife and daughter with a knife causing severe injuries to both of them at Nawabpet under Penuganchiprolu mandal in Krishna district on Friday late in the night. Sk Sankar Saheb (49) under inebriated condition started attacked his wife Sk Moghlabi (45) according to police.The sub-inspector of Penuganchiprolu, I Avinash has said that Saheb used to suspect his wife and used to have frequent quarrels with her after consuming liquor. On Friday night also he returned home in inebriated condition and started an argument with his wife. The heated argument turned violent as Saheb grab a knife and started attacking his wife.Moghalabi tried to defend herself with her hands and received deep cut injuries on both of her hands.Their 16-year-old daughter Shakeelabi rushed to her mother’s rescue and Saheb also attacked his daughter inflicting injuries on her left hand.The neighbours intervened with the screams of Shakeelabi and Moghalabi and informed the police. They were rushed to Nandigama government hospital. A case was booked against Sankar Saheb under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code and police launched a search operation to nab him.
