Syllabus to be reduced by 50% in next few yrs

Visakhapatnam: Syllabus of the NCERT textbooks will be reduced by 50% in the next two to three years, said Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar.In a video message sent to Tech 2018, Javadekar said that the exponential growth in technology has brought a sea change in the education sector. The national education policy will come into effect once the ongoing election process in five states is over,” said Javadekar.Javadekar spoke about Operation Digital Board’ initiative, which will cover about 15 lakh classrooms across the country, on the lines of the Operation Black Board.
