VISAKHAPATNAM: With the city fast adapting to applications that aggregate services in the transport and food sector, a new mobile application ‘Deliver Ease’ was launched here on Saturday.The app seeks to bring all ‘kirana’ stores on a single platform to not only help customers but also owners of small local stores, which have been hit since the advent of online store.Andhra’s first real time on-demand pickup and delivery app has features unlike other applications.From the smallest to the largest vendors, the app provides a platform to the local kirana shops to make their presence felt online.Also, medical or toy shops shops and supermarkets at any location can be tracked via the application.Harish Penumatsa, founder of the application, said, “Apart from food delivery, our focus is to pick and deliver from anywhere within the city limits by running errands locally.“This service (24x7) can be used by any individual who needs help to get things delivered anywhere. Late night meal options and 24-hour stores to supply regular use items like medicines, milk, eggs, bread, snacks, and others are also a part of the services in the app.”Adding that the application would provide wider market audience and zero marketing budget, Penumatsa, said, “The employees are registered and verified by the police that is then followed by training. With the motive to penetrate tier II and tier III cities, the app will also be launched in other cities like Vijayawada Kakinada and other neighbouring districts.”Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Sirisha Kakani, COO of Deliver Ease and Martina Fernandes, creative and marketing head of the company, said, “There is no fee charged from the shops who wish to register with our application. Hence, we encourage the small-scale enterprises, including petty shops of every area, to register with us.”
