Amaravati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah will face public anger during their visit to AP as they have wantonly rendered injustice to the state, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said.Interacting with party leaders from New Delhi through teleconference on Monday, Naidu said it’s high time for the country to oust BJP from the Centre. “Amit Shah did not visit Srikakulam when it was ravaged by cyclone Titli. What brings him to the area now?” Naidu asked. The BJP leadership has ruined all constitutional institutions and are using central investigating agencies in the states to trouble those opposing them, Naidu added, while strongly condemning the CBI’s adventurism in West Bengal. “How can the CBI go there without taking the state government’s consent? They are targeting Mamata Benarjee due to the roaring success of Kolkata rally which was attended by all opposition parties,” he said. The CM further alleged that Jaganmohan Reddy’s YSR Congress has turned into a ‘psycho political party’ and is obstructing all developmental and welfare programmes in the state, besides creating hurdles for investors who are coming forward to set up industries in AP. “YSRC’s attempt to disrupt Pasupu-Kunkuma meetings, which were organized to distribute financial assistance to self-help groups, is nothing but psycho attitude. Jagan is lodging false complaints on bogus votes only to divert the attention of the public from the positive wave set by the state government’s pension distribution,” Naidu said, and asked party leaders to take the issues to the public to expose the opposition party’s “political gimmicks”.Later, Naidu and opposition leaders, including Congress leaders Mallikharjuna Kharge, AK Antony, Gulam Nabi Azad and CPI leader D Raja, met the chief election commissioner and submitted a representation seeking withdrawal of EVMs in the 2019 elections. The leaders said there was nothing wrong in going back to the ballot paper as there are complaints about the EVMs. They said several advanced countries have reverted to the paper ballot and wanted the EC to follow suit.
