Visakhapatnam: The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) has decided to implement its seasonal disease prevention strategy and drive from March 1.GVMC commissioner M Hari Narayanan chaired a meeting with zonal commissioners, health officials, sanitary inspectors in the commissionerate on Saturday.Surveillance activities and fogging, spraying and mass campaign activities will be given special attention during the drive. The officials were also directed to impose penalties on those who resort to garbage dumping in open places and vacant land.Hari Narayanan also informed that they will collect door-to-door garbage from 100% households from February 24.
