Visakhapatnam: Both YSRC and TDP sound pretty confident of winning Araku Parliamentary constituency While TDP has fielded ex-Union minister Kishore Chandra Deo , YSRC has fielded Goddeti Madhavi , daughter of the late Goddeti Demudu, two-time MLA from Chintapalli and a respected communist party leader. However, TDP observers believe that political inexperience of YSRC candidate gives TDP the required edge.TDP party observer from Araku said: “Madhavi’s inexperience and the confused state of their cadre thanks to Kothapalli Geetha, the sitting MP, would give us the opportunity to clinch the seat. Both the candidates belong to the Konda Dora community.A teacher by profession, just like her late father, Madhavi, though politically inexperienced carries much of her father’s goodwill into the fray, while former Union Minister Kishore Chandra Deo is a respected leader within the constituency. Both the parties will be banking on the clean image that the two candidates carry. However, we are not taking anything for granted.”Kishore Chandra Deo said: “Nothing can be taken for granted till the last votes are counted.”However, senior YSRCP leader and BC Cell general secretary G Madhava said: “Both the sympathy factor combined with the natural support base that YSRC enjoys in the agency areas could well be a swinging factor in our favour.”The TDP candidate Kishore Chandra Deo has announced that he would file his nomination on March 22 while the YSRC candidate is likely to kick off her campaign by the same time.
