Students have mixed reactions on the upcoming elections

Visakhapatnam: College students from the city have different opinions on the upcoming elections. A few other students feel that their vote will not make a difference, hence want to refrain from voting. However, there is no other option but to cast my vote and hope for a better future. “With the support of the government, we are able to come up with new ideas and set our enterprises. Demonetisation had an adverse impact on the economy, hence I would think twice before I vote.”Another college student, B Vikas, opined that government initiatives like Start-up India and MSME schemes have helped budding entrepreneurs in the long run.

Visakhapatnam: College students from the city have different opinions on the upcoming elections. While a few first-time voters are excited about casting their vote, there are students who would like to remain indifferent on the current political scenario due to many reasons.“Since it is the first time I will be casting my vote, I will vote for someone who believes in good governance and corruption free services. Although corruption has been controlled to some extent, there are places where it still exists,” stated Bhavesh Kumar, a student of Gitam University.P Sushmita, who runs a family business, said, “The manifesto and the value system of the political parties are in a sorry state of affairs. However, there is no other option but to cast my vote and hope for a better future. Demonetisation had an adverse impact on the economy, hence I would think twice before I vote.”Another college student, B Vikas, opined that government initiatives like Start-up India and MSME schemes have helped budding entrepreneurs in the long run. “With the support of the government, we are able to come up with new ideas and set our enterprises. Hence, I will vote for the BJP government,” Vikas added.K Chaitanya, an engineering student from the city, said, “Our present CM is tech-savvy and also has good national and global public relations. I would vote for TDP in the state and another chance can be given to them so that the projects planned can be executed.”Srinivas, an IT employee, said that he has not decided on whom to vote because the current state of politics seems confusing. “I would rather opt for NOTA instead of choosing a particular party,” said Srinivas. A few other students feel that their vote will not make a difference, hence want to refrain from voting.
