Paderu/Palasa: YSRC president YS Jaganmohan made it clear that they would not permit bauxite mining in the Vizag agency area as it could put the sustenance of the tribals at stake. He addressed a public meeting in Paderu on Saturday as part of his election campaign. He said that the TDP put its order pertaining to the bauxite mining on the backburner only after an incessant fight of YSRC against the mining.“If YSRCP is voted to power, a separate district will be carved out of the tribal areas. “The tribal district will get a university along with engineering and medical colleges. The territory of each Integrated Tribal Development Agency would get a super-specialty hospital and a Tribal Advisory Council. The ruling TDP deliberately delayed the process of constituting the Tribal Advisory Council as six out of seven tribal MLAs from the YSRC. Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu back-stabbed his own father-in-law and former chief minister NT Rama Rao,” said Reddy.Earlier, he addressed a public meeting in Palasa of Srikakulam district. Speaking on this occasion, Reddy said that they would fill about 2.3 lakh government vacancies soon after coming to power.“About 70% of the jobs would be given to the local youths in the industries. The government has not yet given the compensation for the Titli cyclone victims in Srikakulam,” said Reddy.Speaking about the Uddanam kidney disease issue, Reddy slammed the TDP government for not yet finding the root cause of the disease.“We will build a 200-bed hospital in the region and supply quality water to the villages affected by the kidney diseases. The patients suffering from chronic kidney diseases will be offered Rs 10,000 monthly pension,” said Reddy.
