150-bed hospital inaugurated at Narsipatnam

He recalled that the hospital, established in 1905, was upgraded as a 100-bed NTR Hospital in 1987. Ayyanna Patrudu. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Mr. Srinivas said the hospital was built with modern facilities as Narsipatnam was known as the ‘gateway to the Agency’. He acknowledged the efforts of Mr. Ayyanna Patrudu in setting up of dialysis facility and X-Ray unit. Tabs were given to 16,000 ANM s and the details of all pregnant women were being recorded. He spoke on the development activities being undertaken by the government in the health sector. Mr. Ayyanna Patrudu said modernisation of the Regional Hospital at Narsipatnam was his long-cherished dream and expressed happiness that it was realised. The hospital, built at a cost of ? 33 crore, has all modern medical facilities. He recalled that during his stint as Minister for Panchyat Raj, 90 per cent of the roads in the rural areas converted into cement concrete (CC) roads. He recalled that the hospital, established in 1905, was upgraded as a 100-bed NTR Hospital in 1987. Anakapalle MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao appreciated the work of the engineering officials in the construction of the hospital building. MLCs MVVS Murthi and Pappala Chalapathi Rao and Collector Pravin Kumar were present. Earlier, the Ministers inaugurated a skating rink constructed at Laccha Patrudu Park at a cost of ?.25 lakh with VUDA assistance. The Ministers felicitated CMR Group MD Mavuri Venkata Ramana, who had donated a vehicle for the ‘Mahaprasthnam’ programme and Kopparthi Rama Rao and his wife, who contributed ?15 lakh for setting up of the Sujala Sravanthi plant and the installation of an idol of Lord Siva.
