Sony eyes 25 % growth in festive season

He said last financial year Sony posted 20 per cent growth and similar growth rate was expected during the current year too. Sony India, which has come up with several offers during the festive season (August-November), is expecting 25 % spurt in sales, managing director Kenichiro Hibi has said. “We expect 25 per cent growth this year," he said adding Sony relied on technology and innovation to offer the best products to the customer. Many easy finance options were available during the festival season, he added. He said Sony India had recently added several new products across all categories - TV sets, cameras and smart phones.

He termed Andhra Pradesh as a very important market for the company and its sales during the four months of festival season in the previous year amounted to ? 325 crore. He was on a visit to the Sony showroom in the city on Thursday. “We expect 25 per cent growth this year," he said adding Sony relied on technology and innovation to offer the best products to the customer. He said Sony India had recently added several new products across all categories - TV sets, cameras and smart phones. He said last financial year Sony posted 20 per cent growth and similar growth rate was expected during the current year too. The marketing expenditure across the country amounted to ? 500 crore. Local dealer of Sony and managing director of Sai Balaji Enterprises J. Jagadeesh said all the three Sony showrooms in the region at Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam were doing well. Many easy finance options were available during the festival season, he added.
