Ravichandran Ashwin gave Aaron Finch an admonition for leaving his crease in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Monday in Dubai.
The occurrence occurred in the third over Royal Challengers Bangalore' (RCB) innings, when Finch left his crease at the non-striker's end, yet the Delhi Capitals (DC) off-spinner didn't endeavor to 'Mankad' and permitted Finch to re-visit his crease.
After the match, Ashwin even took to social media and reacted to the incident: “Let’s make it clear !! First and final warning for 2020. I am making it official and don’t blame me later on. @RickyPonting #runout #nonstriker @AaronFinch5 and I are good buddies btw.,” he wrote on Twitter.

Before season 13 of the IPL, Ricky Ponting, the ebb and flow lead trainer of the Delhi Capitals, had addressed Ashwin on the issue in UAE and asked him not to 'Mankad' any non-striker.
The discussion around 'Mankading' has drawn a lot of responses since the time Ashwin (while playing for KXIP) excused Rajasthan Royal' Jos Buttler in IPL 2019.
After the gathering, Ponting had guaranteed that he and Ashwin had gone to a shared opinion with respect to the issue.
It seems like Ashwin paid regard to his recommendation and Ponting was seen getting a charge out of the lighter side of the whole scene from the burrow.
