Finally, the WTC final match is here, India and Newzealand have their eye set on winning ICC's inaugural World Test Championship.  

ICC World Test Championship final between India and New Zealand will start from 3.30 pm IST at Ageas Bowl stadium in Southampton on June 18. If the match is a draw or a tie, both the teams will be declared joint winners.

ICC has announced that the winner of the World Test Championship will receive USD 1.6 million as prize money, which equals to Rs 11.70 crores in Indian rupees. Whereas the runner-up team will get an amount of $ 8,00,000.

If the result is not available after five days, then reserve day will be used. However, if the result of this match is not found even on the sixth day, then both the teams will be considered joint winners. In the case of a joint winner, an equal amount of 1.2-1.2 million will be distributed to both teams.

India has to play a five-Test series against England after playing the final of the World Test Championship.

According to Weather Channel and AccuWeather, both have predicted rain in the final between India and New Zealand. According to AccuWeather, 61 per cent rain is expected on the first day of the World Test Championship final. On the other hand, the Weather Channel has predicted 90 percent rain.

England receives a lot of rain in the month of June. It has also been seen in Southampton that rain has been disrupted in many matches. In view of this, the ICC has kept a reserve day for the WTC final match.
