In a career, spanning nearly two decades, the Jumbo took 619 wickets in Test and 337 in ODIs. He holds the record of only Indian and only the second player to have taken 10 wickets in a single Test inning. Anil Kumble remains the third highest wicket-taker and is the only Indian and the third player to have taken more than 600 wickets in a career.
