Its stumps on day 3 and the visitors have the balance slightly tilted in their favour, trailing by 7 runs but India won’t be too disappointed, although they could have done with a couple of more wickets.

Just like the Lankan bowlers troubled the home side, Indian bowlers also caused similar problems, picking up wickets early on but Lahiru and Mathews timely fifties helped them set the tone for Day 4.

The Indian bowlers did a decent job today with Bhuvi and Yadav picking up two wickets each. Shami although didn’t get a wicket but caused trouble for the batsmen but was unfortunate to leave the field due to the hamstring. Ashwin only bowled four overs giving nine runs.
