After reaching incredible milestone of most centuries by an Indian skipper with 12, previously held by Sunil Gavaskar, Kohli went to score a double century 213. With this feat, Kohli scored his fifth in Test double century, once again moving fast Gavaskar (4) and joining Rahul Dravid in the second spot with most double centuries by an Indian cricket. The record is held by Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar with six apiece right now.

This is also Kohli's fifth double century as captain, the highest ever, tied with West Indian Brian Lara. Other Indian captains like MAK Pataudi, MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar have one each.
