Lankan players wearing mask is shameful for Govt
Even Central Pollution Control Board have issued a warning and the Lankans players wearing mask sends out an unedifying message about Delhi’s pollution which the government have to take serious actions.
Living in Delhi has become dangerous, the rise of concentrations of the smallest and most harmful airborne pollutants in the capital has worsened the air quality especially its winter now and cooler air traps pollutants near the ground.
And that affected the Day 2 of the third and final Test between India and Sri Lanka as they match had to be halted briefly after the visiting players found it difficult to play and complained about the air quality.
Many fans on social media mocked Sri Lankan team for wasting time and acting but despite their theatrics, the air quality problem is real and it’s serious. The air quality index for the city read 365 (out of a maximum of 500), indicating “very poor” air quality.
