Its Test cricket again but this time their will be floodlights switched on, the batsman will be facing a ‘Pink ball’ and a full house is expected. England and Windies will play in the first ever day night test match in the United Kingdom. Its quite surprising that the country where cricket started has not hosted a day night match till date, even though four international day night test matches have already been played. Its definitely going to bring some interest into test match cricket which has been seeing declining viewership over the years, especially after the growth of T20 cricket.

England team has been in superb form as far as test matches are concerned and thrashed a top side like South Africa 3-1 recently. On the other hand, Windies team lost their last test series to Pakistan 1-2 back in April-May. But after impressive show in the practice matches, Windies team will be confident that they can give a tough fight to the English team when theyt meet at the Edgbaston in Birmingham on Thursday.

England vs Windies: Head To Head

"We are all adults and everyone has their own way of preparing for games and this will be no different. It will obviously be slightly different in terms of when you go to sleep but make sure you get yourself ready and turn up ready to be at your best”, said England captain Joe Root.

Windies captain seems to have a lot of hopes from his bowlers. "I think our bowling has really carried us throughout the last few Test matches. "Shannon Gabriel has had a pretty decent year; I haven't been doing too badly, and we've got young Alzarri Joseph and Miguel Cummins. Kemar Roach is actually showing some very, very good form –- so I'm really confident in our bowling”, said Windies Captain Jason Holder.
