India women team produced a superb all-round performance to defeat South Africa by 88 runs in the first ODI of the ICC Women Championship at Diamond Oval.
Batting first, the visitors got off to a brilliant start courtesy of opener Smriti Mandhana, who scored a masterful 84 off 98 balls while skipper Mithali Raj scored 45 to help India post 213 for seven in their allotted 50 overs.
