Inter Milan ace Perisic takes swipe at Argentina: Croatia play as a team

Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic took a swipe at Argentina after Croatia's stunning World Cup win yesterday. Perisic featured with Inter teammate Marcelo Brozovic in the 3-0 victory over Argentina, which sent Croatia through to the Round of 16. “We did really well. In the locker room, we said that we had to defend stoutly and we did that," Perisic told Mediaset in Italy. “We had chances in the first half too, then the goals arrived after the break. We have six points, we deserved them and now we want to beat Iceland too." The victory was another hammer blow for Leo Messi, who seems to be losing his long-distance battle with Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo. “Messi is the best, just like Cristiano Ronaldo, but you can only achieve something if you play as a team. Argentina need to change something if they are to go forward. “As for us, we're on the right track to emulate what we did in France '98 and must continue like this."
