Both the teams will face off n April 3 in Mumbai. They are the two most successful teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Both Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) have lifted the title thrice each though the former have played in two editions less because of suspension. The captains of the two sides – MS Dhoni (CSK) and Rohit Sharma (MI) are, in fact, the two most successful skippers of the tournament with three titles apiece. On two occasions, the MI beat the CSK in the final to lift the trophy. Last year, the two sides met in the very first game in Mumbai and Dhoni's team won the thriller by just one wicket. CSK returned to the IPL last year after missing out for two years and made the comeback memorable by winning the coveted trophy. The rivalry between the two franchises thus has grown momentum over the years now even though the Mumbai franchise have a 14-11 lead over CSK in the IPL. With yet another edition of the annual carnival knocking at the doors now, both franchises decided to renew the rivalry on Twitter and their exchanges were enjoyed by the fans. MI have been winning the IPL on odd years (2013, 2015 and 2017) and the sequence makes 2019 a favourable season for them. But will the CSK, who tasted blood after some time now (before 2018, they won in 2011) give up their crown that easily? CSK and MI to clash on April 3 On Tuesday, the fixture for the first 17 matches of the IPL was released keeping in mind the upcoming Lok Sabha election and in that, the first match between Chennai and Mumbai was scheduled in Mumbai on April 3. MI tweeted over their home match at once, saying: "This IPL rivalry has a different fan base." CSK didn't ignore it and replied in their tweet: "Can't agree more! And it's mostly #Yellove! #WhistlePodu." This year's games between CSK and MI will be special as both sides have some heavyweights. The duel between Dhoni and MI's Yuvraj Singh could be particularly entertaining.
