Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will begin their campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in an away game on March 24. The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is less than two weeks away now and all the franchises are in their final minute preparatory stage for the mega event. The upcoming IPL will also be a special occasion for it will give the players the final opportunity to impress their respective national selectors to make a cut into the World Cup squad for the showpiece event starting May 30. The IPL 2019 will kick off with a match between defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and three-time finalists Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Chennai. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the 2016 edition champions and runners-up in 2018, will begin their campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in an away game on March 24. However, the orange brigade has made some grand planning for their first home game on March 29 which will be against Rajasthan Royals (RR). The franchise has announced that it will open 25,000 seats at the venue – Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium – for the match and tickets will be available for only Rs 500 and will be distributed on the first-come-first-serve basis. However, the offer will be valid only on March 13 starting 11 am. The booking can be made through www.sunrisershyderabad.in. Australian David Warner made announcements about the same on the SRH's social media pages. Other SRH players like Yusuf Pathan, Manish Pandey and others expressed their surprise over the low pricing of the tickets to make it more alluring for the fans. The SRH have made some major changes to their side this edition, releasing players like Shikhar Dhawan and Wriddhiman Saha. SRH vs RR game will be a star attraction for Warner-Smith reason too Warner, whose year-long ban for the ball-tampering scandal in South Africa last year is about to end, is set to make a return. In fact, the March 29 game will be a star attraction if the other banned player – Steve Smith – also appears for the Royals who he was supposed to captain last year. While Ajinkya Rahane replaced him as the RR skipper, New Zealander Kane Williamson stepped in to lead SRH in Warner's absence. Both Smith and Warner also had their stints with injuries recently with the former's condition being more serious. Both the players have been ignored for Australia's five-match ODI series against Pakistan in the UAE starting March 22. It makes their availability for the IPL all the more clear.
