IPL 2019: Kings XI Punjab vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Preview and Head to Head

Due to better net run rate SRH is at the third spot while Punjab is at the sixth position on the points table..

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) today (April 8) at IS Bindra Stadium. Both the teams have played 5 matches out of which they have won 3 matches and lost the other 2 games. But due to better net run rate SRH is at the third spot while Punjab is at the sixth position on the points table.

Punjab lost its last match against Chennai while chasing the target of 160. Sarfaraz Khan and KL Rahul scored  67 and 55 respectively but all other players scored below 10 runs and Punjab lost the match. This was their second defeat while chasing the target. In the previous match, they lost to KKR as Punjab failed to chase down 218.

In the last match, SRH lost miserably to Mumbai Indians while chasing the target of 136. SRH openers occupy the first two positions on the 'Most Runs' category and it looks that the team is now over-dependent on the two players. SRH batting order collapsed dramatically and the team was troubled on 86 runs in the 18th over. SRH has to work on their middle order and they should make sure that the team should not over depend on top order batsmen.
