Former India & Lancashire wicket-keeper batsman Farokh Engineer revealed how racist comments were made on him in England for being from India. The former Indian wicketkeeper has said that I wholeheartedly welcome the step taken by the England Board in Robinson's case. He deserves punishment for making such racist comments.

When he joined Lancashire, he faced racist remarks on a few occasions because he "was from India" and they "made fun of his accent." The former Indian wicketkeeper further said in his interview to the Indian Express that, 'When I first came into county cricket, 'is he from India?' questions like this were raised on him, I had to face it (racist remarks) once or twice when I joined Lancashire.

Nothing too personal, but just because I was from India, they used to make fun of my accent.'

Speaking to a leading Indian newspaper, Engineer said, 'I was reading about Boris Johnson in the newspaper. I think it is foolish for the Prime Minister to bring his name in such a statement.

Farokh Engineer also commented on foreign players playing in IPL, Till a few years back we were all 'Bloody Indians' for them, but after the IPL started they are all licking our feet. I am surprised that they are now licking our shoes just because of money but people like me know their real colours; now suddenly they have changed their tune. They have completely changed their attitude only because of money.
