Asian Games 2018: Dutee Chand wins SILVER in 200m final, creates history
Dutee Chand added another medal to her kitty at the Asian Games 2018 as she claimed silver in the Women’s 200m race with a timing of 23.20 seconds on Wednesday.
Dutee, who won a silver in women’s 100m, stormed into the final by winning the semifinal in personal best time of 23:00 seconds, which was faster than her qualification round timing.
Chand missed the gold by just 0.02 seconds in a photo finish. Chand became the first Indian woman in 32 years to medal in both 100m and 200m events at an Asian Games.
This was India’s 52nd medal at Asian Games 2018.
