India vs Pakistan: Most heated moments on field

India and Pakistan cricket clash is always the most discussed event in any part of the World. The two sides are once again ready to face each other on Sunday at Old Trafford Cricket Ground and there is nothing as important as any news related to this clash.

Whether it is about taking a jibe at each other through video advertisements or memes on social media, fans from both the sides virtually hit each other and make this game look like real clash.

Though there have been several controversies in Ind-Pak game that make it more than just a game, let's look at the few on-field heated moments between the two

1. Javed Miandad and Kiran More - Cricket World Cup, 1992

  Javed Miandad acrobatically imitated an over-enthusiastic Kiran More during India vs Pakistan match in the 1992 World Cup in Sydney. More appealed for a run out leaping up and down that made Miandad furious. Miandad then turned towards More and the two exchanged a few words. The next ball, More again flipped the bails off but Miandad, who survived the run out again, this time imitated More jumping up and down.

2. Aamir Sohail and Venkatesh Prasad - Cricket World Cup, 1996

 Chasing 288 for a win in the quarter-final, Saeed Anwar and Aamer Sohail gave Pakistan a solid start. While Anwar fell for 48, Sohail continued with his aggression and probably paid the price of that. He hit Venkatesh Prasad for a four and signalled "go fetch that". A fired up Prasad clean bowled the Pakistan opener next ball and gave him a send-off.

3. Gambhir VS Afridi -2007

 Gautam Gambhir and Shahid Afridi were involved in an ugly spat in Kanpur during the third ODI of Pakistan's tour of India in 2007. During the third ODI of Pakistan's tour of India in 2007, Gambhir hit a boundary off Afridi and uttered a few words. In the same over, Gambhir collided with Afridi while taking a quick single. Following the collision, a fierce verbal duel broke out between Gambhir and Afridi and eventually the umpires had to intervene to separate the two. Afridi was fined 95 per cent of his match fee while Gambhir got away with 65 per cent.

4. Gautam Gambhir vs Kamran Akmal - Asia Cup 2010

Gautam Gambhir and Kamran Akmal nearly came to blows during the drinks break in an Asia Cup game at Dambulla. Chasing 268 for a win, Gambhir struck 83 but the game was marred when Kamran Akmal's confident appeal for a caught behind was denied by the umpire. Later in the drinks break a furious Akmal was seen engaging with Gambhir but umpires and captain MS Dhoni, who was on the other end, intervened to calm things down.

5- Harbhajan Singh vs Shoaib Akhtar - Asia Cup 2010

  Harbhajan Singh and Shoaib Akhtar were involved in an ugly on-field spat after the Turbanator hit the Rawalpindi Express for a massive six in an Asia Cup match in Dambulla. Harbhajan played a heroic knock in a tense chase and won the match for India with a six off Mohammad Amir.
