India vs Bangladesh: With his 4th century in 2019 World Cup, Rohit sets these three new records

   

India got a good start against Bangladesh at Edgbaston on Tuesday. Rohit Sharma continued his stunning performance in the 2019 tournament. Rohit Sharma smashed 104 runs off 92 balls to break Sourav Ganguly's record of most centuries in World Cup. Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly scored three centuries in 2003 World Cup. This was Rohit's fourth century in 2019 World Cup.

Rohit Sharma has earlier scored 122 vs South Africa, 140 vs Pakistan, 102 vs England in 2019 World Cup so far. With his fourth century against Bangladesh Rohit Sharma equaled the record of most centuries in the World Cup with Kumar Sangakkara who got four consecutive centuries in a World Cup 2015.

The century against bangladesh on Tuesday took Rohit to the top of most run scorers of 2019 World Cup surpassing David Warner.

 

KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma who came on to open got the partnership of 180 runs for the first wicket. The duo got the highest opening partnership by India at Men's Cricket World Cup. Before today the highest opening partnership by India at a Men's Cricket World Cup was 174.

 

Rohit Sharma got out in 30th over at Soumya Sarkar's bowl after scoring 104 runs off 92 balls. A win for Virat Kohli's India would ensure a semi-final spot in the 10-team event.
