IPL 2017: Supergiant look to seal play-off spot against Daredevils

The 51st match of IPL 2017 will see Rising Pune Supergiant up against  Delhi Daredevils. Pune will be playing this match after a five day break, while Delhi are out of playoff contention and will look to finish the season with a few wins under their belt. Other teams like Kings XI Punjab will have a close eye on this match.

In their first exchange this season, Delhi Daredevils were powered by a maiden T20 hundred from Sanju Samson and a blistering unbeaten 38 from Chris Morris that helped them win by 97 runs after scoring 205. But, Daredevils are now without Kagiso Rabada, Chris Morris and Angelo Mathews, who have left for national duty. The absence of these players will have some impact in the match.

On the other hand, Pune will be without Imran Tahir and Faf du Plessis.  Tahir has been one of the most successful bowlers for Supergiant in this tournament and his absence is a big blow for the franchisee. Adam Zampa, the Australia legspinner, is likely to slot in for Tahir. The Pune franchise has found lift from key players at critical junctures to move them into the top three of the leaderboard.
