India’s badminton sensation PV Sindhu on Sunday won her 2nd Super Series title in 2017 as she defeated Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara in the Korea Open final at Seoul, South Korea on Sunday . The game turned out to be a thriller and entertained the fans on a Super Sunday. With this victory, Sindhu avenged her World Championship loss recently against Nozomi Okuhara, where Sindhu was denied the Gold medal.

While Sindhu kept her aggressive approach throughout the match, Okuhara tried to negotiate Sindhu in longer rallies. The first set was like a roller coaster ride, going one way and the other with the Indian finally managing to clinch the set. The Japanese player made a strong comeback in the second set, which meant that the match went down to the wire. Both of them kept fighting with one rally even lasting 56 shots, however Sindhu finally eked out a close victory.
What a brilliant game by @PVSindhu1! Congrats on winning #KoreaSS! India is proud of you! May the victories never stop coming!
