
Ronaldo now has more international goals then Pele

Ronaldo scoring goals is nothing new, the Portuguese skipper scores for fun, naturally, it reflects in the stats, last night he was once again on the score sheet, this time he scored a sublime hat-trick against Faeroe Island to stay close to Switzerland at the top of Group B in World Cup European qualifying.
With the hat-trick, Real Madrid forward moved past legendary Pele (77) on the list of an all-time international goal scorer. Ronaldo now has 78 international goals which are the second on the list of Europe’s all time scorers, behind great Ferenc Puskas (84)

Apart from that, Ronaldo also bagged his 48th career hat-trick for club and country. He scored 42 for Spanish giants Real Madrid, five for national team Portugal and one for Manchester United.
Ronaldo's three strikes also put him on 14 goals for the current World Cup qualifying campaign, equalling the record for goals scored by a European player in a single qualifying campaign.
