Real Madrid is already playing catch up with Barcelona after just five matches as the defending champions were beaten 1-0 by Real Betis. Antonio Sanabria got the late winner in the 94th minute to clinch their first win at the Bernabeu in 19 years and end Real Madrid’s 74 straight goalscoring record.

The game also marked Ronaldo’s return from his five-match band but the forward was a bit off his game as he was guilty of blasting high and wide on several occasions, ending his 73 straight matches scoring run. Real have failed to win in all three home games so far this season and seven points adrift of leaders Barcelona, who are yet to drop points.

Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan had a hell of a game, he made save after save becoming the first keeper since Joe Hart in the Champions League semi-final. Adan produced stunning saves from Isoc, Toni Kross and Gareth Bale. The former Madrid keeper who Jose Mourinho famously preferred to Iker Casillas was having the game of his life. And he was strong to the finish. Madrid was not and Sanabria was all alone in the area to head in the winner and stun the Bernabeu.
