Sergio Aguero involved in a car crash
Manchester City released an official stating that Aguero will return to Manchester and his status will be checked ahead of the Premier League clash at Chelsea.
In-form striker Sergio Aguero was involved in a car crash in the Netherlands which cast doubt over his availability for Manchester City’s trip to Chelsea on Saturday. There are reports that the forward has fractured ribs and faces a long layoff.
According to reports, Aguero had attended Colombian singer Maluma’s show and while returning from the concert his taxi was involved in a crash.

If Aguero’s injury does prove serious than it will be the second serious setback for Pep Guardiola in just two days as Benjamin Mendy has been potentially ruled out for the rest of the season because of a knee injury.

Given City’s trip to Chelsea, questions may be asked regarding why Agüero was in the Netherlands 48 hours before such a serious match. Agüero has so far scored seven goals in eight appearances. He is also one goal away from equalling the club’s all-time scoring record.
