Aguero net last minute winner to break Bristol hearts
Despite the loss, Bristol City was brilliant, they didn’t sit back and allowed City to dominate play, instead, they took the game to City which even impressed Blues manager Pep Guardiola. Former Barcelona and Bayern manager was hugely complimentary about their performance.
Bristol City showed the same fight and passion against City which helped them defeat Manchester United in the previous leg of the League Cup but it was not enough as Aguero scored an injury-time winner to clinch the semi-final first leg.

The Championship side was excellent, playing positive football, especially in the first half, they even took the lead via Bovvy Reid’s penalty, awarded after John Stones chopped down the Robins player.

But the high flying City, who are in top form equalized through brilliant Kevin De Bruyne strike. And as the underdogs looked set to take a draw and an away goal back to Bristol for the second leg, substitute Aguero headed in Bernardo Silva's cross to seal the game for City.
