Lallana sent off for throttling a Spurs player in an under 23s game

While this resulted in a three-match ban from Premier League 2 for the England International, it will not affect him in the first team.

Recovering from injury, Liverpool star Adam Lallana played for clubs U23 side against Tottenham U23s in order to regain his fitness but he was sent off after attacking Spurs teenager George Marsh.

Lallana lost his temper, grabbed the 19-year-old by his neck after an aerial challenge by Marsh. The 29-year-old was given a straight red for his action in the 61st minute.

While this resulted in a three-match ban from Premier League 2 for the England International, it will not affect him in the first team.
