Ind vs Aus: India look to continue winning run against Aussies
Considering Team India’s current form and their past record in T20s against Australia, they will go onto the series as the favourites. On the other hand, Australia would look to get back some confidence ahead of the Ashes with some victories under their belt.
After the One Day Series, India and Australia will now battle in the shortest format that is T20 and the fans can expect fireworks from the onset. While India is at the pole position in both tests and ODIs, T20 is the format where they need to climb as they currently lie way down at the the 5th position. Considering Team India’s current form and their past record in T20s against Australia, they will go onto the series as the favourites. India has a staggering 9-4 head to head record in their favour in T20s against the Kangaroos, who had been whitewashed when they last faced India in a T20 series earlier this year. Its been raining for past few days in Ranchi and the weather once again will remain a concern for the teams as well as the fans.

Apart from Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, India has Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan who are in superb form and are likely to provide a decent start to the Indian innings. The rising star of Indian cricket, Hardik Pandya can be very handy in T20 format, considering his big hitting skills. As far as bowlers are concerned, India has death over specialists like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah who will be supported by wrist spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav and the experience of Ashish Nehra will definitely benefit the team.
On the other hand, Australia would look to get back some confidence ahead of the Ashes with some victories under their belt. But that looks highly unlikely as they are not looking the same unit that most of the teams used to fear. They are too much dependent on captain Steve Smith and David Warner, but it will require the whole team to contribute for them to give fight to this strong Indian lineup. Uncapped left-arm speedster Jason Behrendorff, along with wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Paine, all-rounders Moises Henriques and Dan Christian, are the new additions in Australia's T20I squad.
