After Indian women’s cricket team’s impressive in the recently concluded World Cup, Madhya Pradesh government has announced Rs 50 lakh award for the team.
After Indian women’s cricket team’s impressive in the recently concluded World Cup, Madhya Pradesh government has announced Rs 50 lakh award for the team. The reward will be given to the team at a grand ceremony in Bhopal following their return to India.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister mentioned about the grand ceremony via a tweet.

Although, Indian team could not clinch the title but it has been a win for Women's cricket which has started to get the recognition it deserves. Earlier, BCCI had also announced reward of Rs 50 lakh for each player of the team.

The Indian women's team lost by nine runs to England in a tense summit clash of the World Cup last night, finishing runners-up for the second time - the previous being the 2005 edition.
