Every season of the Indian Premier League has witnessed players with injuries, who misses out in the tournament. From RCB’s captain Virat Kohli having been missed out on a fraction last year to KKR’s all-rounder Andre Russell who has been ban from the league.

This year also many five star players might miss out of the league due to injuries and a possible ban.

#5 Sunil Narine- Kolkata Knight Riders (INR 12.50 crore)

Sunil Narine, KKR’s star performers last season and also in 2012 has been reported for suspect bowling action in the Pakistan Super League where he plays for Lahore Qalandars. This has a possibility of jeopardizing the star player’s participation in the IPL for KKR.

The PSL officials will send a report to West Indies cricket board regarding Narine’s action which he has to go through the process of his country’s board for the suspect bowling action.

#4 Andre Russell –Kolkata Knight Riders (INR 8.50 crore)

KKR’s all-rounder Andre Russell was retained for INR 8.50 crore by the franchise, making a comeback for the side after missing the last season due to the ban he was serving. However, his hamstring injury during the ongoing PSL might come as a huge blow to Franchise, who is their biggest weapon of the West Indies.

Not only has he been ruled out of the rest of the PSL, he is also racing against time to regain fitness for the IPL.

#3 Jofra Archer- Rajasthan Royals (INR 7.2 crore)

Jofra Archer, the barbadian born all-rounder came into limelight after his performances in the Big Bash League for Hobart Hurricanes this season, following which he was picked by the franchise for a whopping INR 7.2 crore in this IPL season.

Archer, who has been picked by Rajasthan Royals was taking part in the PSL for the Quetta Gladiators, has been ruled out of the Tournament due to a side strain. His participation in the IPL also remains unconfirmed.

#2 Mitchell Johnson- Kolkata Knight Riders (INR 2 crore)

The KKR’s pacer Mitchell Johnson was bought for INR 2 crore in the auction hoping for a bright prospect for the team. However, the player is added to the injured list after he sustained a serious injury to his head when working out in the gym.

The 36-year-old had to rush to the hospital after being hit in his head while doing chin-ups, for which he had to go through 16 stitches on his scalp. He has to race against time to regain complete fitness for the upcoming IPL season.

#1 Chris Lynn- Kolkata Knight Riders (INR 9.6 crore)

Chris Lynn suffered a shoulder injury in the recent Australia’s T20 tri-series final in New Zealand. His participation for KKR from the start of the tournament also remain unsure. Lynn has been frequently hit by injuries and last year too was ruled out of the side after the initials few games due to injury.
