IPL 2020: ‘It’s about my team winning,’ Imran Tahir says he doesn’t mind carrying drinks for CSK players
Chennai Super Kings leg-spinner Imran Tahir on Wednesday took to web-based media, clarifying how conveying drinks on the field doesn't make a difference to him as long as he is important for the group and the side can assemble great exhibitions.
Leg-spinner Imran Tahir, who's shaped an instrumental piece of Chennai Super Kings' street to the last a year ago, is yet to play a game in IPL 2020. The South Africa leg-spinner, who won the Purple Cap in 2019, has been warming the seats, yet to turn out even once this year. On a couple of events, Tahir was spotted conveying drinks on the field for his partners, which caused somewhat of a commotion of online media.
Given CSK's exhibition in the IPL, fans have been clamoring for Tahir's consideration in the Playing XI however maybe their blend isn't letting them. Tahir on Wednesday took to online media, clarifying how conveying drinks on the field doesn't make a difference to him as long as he is important for the group and the side can assemble great exhibitions.
“When I used to play many players carried drinks for me now when deserved players are in the field it’s my duty do return favors. It’s not about me playing or not it’s about my team winning. If I get a chance I will do my best but for me team is important #yellove @ChennaiIPL,” Tahir tweeted.
