Twitter explodes as Suryakumar Yadav and Washington Sundar fall prey to the much-debated 'Soft Signal'.

The much-debated rule of 'Soft signal' was the highlight of the 4th T20I between India and England at the Narendra Modi Stadium.


Suryakumar Yadav, who came into the Indian side following an injury to Ishan Kishan, was playing a spectacular inning when caught out by Dawid Malan at fine leg. Replays showed that the ball touched the ground; however, the third umpire Virender Sharma due to lack of enough evidence upheld the on-field umpire's soft signal of out.

Allrounder Washington Sundar was ruled out in a similar fashion when Adil Rashid caught him at third man amid the doubts that he touched the boundary rope.

These incidents of 'Soft Signal' led to outrage among the Indian cricket fans soon, microblogging site Twitter was flooded with memes and trolls. Cricket experts too jumped into the pool with there share of criticism.
