David Warner has been one of the most prolific run-getters in the IPL. In fact, Warner has hit a fifty in 1 in three matches that he has played in the T20 tournament. On Saturday, Warner has an opportunity to become the first batter to hit 50 fifties in the IPL.
Warner, with 49 fifties in 144 matches, is well ahead of the chasing pack of the list of batters with most fifties in the IPL. The next best batter on the list is Delhi Capitals opener, Shikhar Dhawan with 42 fifties in 178 matches. Royal Challengers Bangalore and India captain, Virat Kohli is third with 39 fifties in 194 matches.

Notably, Warner did not begin the season well as he got out for 3 in Sunrisers Hyderabad's season-opener against Kolkata Knight Riders. However, the Australia opener roared back to form, hitting a 37-ball 54 in a low-scoring contest in Chennai against Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, his fifty went in vain as Sunrisers Hyderabad imploded in chase of 150 to succumb to their second successive defeat. More than the personal milestone, Warner would have set his sights on helping SRH open their account in IPL 2021 in tonight's clash against the Mumbai Indians.
Can Rohit overtake Warner on Saturday?
On the other hand, Rohit Sharma, the most successful captain in the IPL with 5 titles, has an opportunity to go past Warner on the all-time list of batters with most runs in IPL. RCB captain Virat Kohli is on top of the list with 5944 runs while CSK star Suresh Raina is not far behind with 5430 runs. Warner is third on the list with 5311 runs. Rohit needs just 20 runs to go past the SRH captain as the two will battle it out in Chennai on Saturday.
